Fire Fighter Recovery Harness™
Although a DRD is required on all NFPA 1971 compliant gear, it doesn’t mean that every brand of DRD is created equal. A poorly designed DRD can feel bulky and uncomfortable. That’s not the case with Janesville® and Body-Guard® turnouts. Our DRD is designed to minimize sensation. The only time you’ll feel it is when it’s engaged.
The Janesville® and Body-Guard® DRD features Kelvar® webbing installed between the outer shell and thermal liner of the coat. DuPont™ brand Kevlar® is renowned for its outstanding strength and durability.
Our optional strip of 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material on the DRD flap makes it easy to spot, even in smoke filled environments. The DRD is also easy to access, grasp and engage.
