  • NFPA 1983, 2006 Edition manufactured system. Components include:

  • CMC Escape Artist™. The most advanced descent control device available. Intended for the most extreme conditions, constructed of aluminum and stainless steel for durability and reliable performance.
  • CMC ProTech™ Carabiners (two). Rugged, yet lightweight aluminum anchoring points. Wide gate opening fits over 1” diameter railings; or wrap around an object of any thickness and back onto rope itself.

NFPA 1983

Lion Integrated Rescue Harness™ Ready when you need it.

Built into your turnout pants between the outer shell and the liner, this NFPA 1983 Class II life-safety harness can be used in many fire fighting and rescue scenarios, including:

  • Evacuation
  • Roof ventilation
  • Aerial platform work
  • On the ladder
  • Falls through floors
  • Search line
  • Ice/water rescues

Intuitive design keeps the system relaxed and unnoticeable while you work, yet tightens and supports you when you need it to. It also meets the requirements of NFPA 1971 so the harness retains its integrity when exposed to heat.

When the Harness is combined with the Personal Rescue System, it can be used as an escape system.

 

Lion Escape Belt

The Lion Escape Belt is an emergency self-rescue device that fastens at the waist outside of your turnout pants. The belt is positioned through belt loops on the pants and fastens with a hook and ring closure. When the escape line is attached to the belt, it engages in the proper position.

The escape belt is made from twoinch Kevlar® webbing for strength and durability. Certified for use up to 300 pounds, the escape belt meets the requirments of NFPA 1983.

When the belt is combined with the Personal Rescue System, it can be used as an escape system.
